The 3D scanner for high accurate quality control
The val-IT Flex is a high tech inspection cell that uses the structured light method. Thanks to this innovative fringe technology, our system is capable of delivering highly accurate and reliable measurement results. The scanner is ideal for scanning components with dimensions to the size of a shoe box. The 3D scanner is exceptionally accurate in detecting defects. The software signals deviations at submicron level. You can imagine that the scanner detects irregularities that are not even visible to the human eye. Also, the system is perfectly suited to fully check the completeness of assembled products. The component that you want to validate will be placed on a rotating table and “photographed” by multiple cameras from the top, side and bottom. Because the component is rotating in steps, all individually created point clouds make a total 3D view of this component. The val-IT Flex compares this 3D view with the master model and make all deviations insightful.
The data that the val-IT Flex collects during the scan is stored as accessable information. This can be presented by batch, type of product or time period. This data will inform you about, for example, recurring errors in the scanned components. This gives you easy and quick insight into (recurring) errors arising from production or transport!
